The Shop is situated on St. Mary Street in Kirkcudbright and is managed and staffed entirely by volunteers.
The Shop was originally based in Andy Campbell’s joiner’s shop and it was intended that it should be open for 1 week in order to help raise money for the Swimming Pool fund. It was such a success that nearly 40 years later it is still going strong and is fundamental in keeping the Pool running effectively.
Shop volunteers give up around 50 hours a week to keep the shop attractive, well stocked and to staff it during opening hours which are : Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
The shop is also open from 9am to 11am on Mondays for dropping off donations.
