Vacancy for a Freelance Fundraising & Development Officer

The Friends of Kirkcudbright Swimming Pool are looking for a passionate Freelance Fundraising & Development Officer to help secure the future of our much-loved community pool.

If you’ve got experience in fundraising, enjoy working with the community, and want to make a real difference, this could be the perfect role for you!

📍 Flexible, home-based role (approx. 14 hrs/week)

💷 £21 per hour

📅 Closing date: 26 June 2026

2026 Half Marathon Bottle Stall

The Kirkcudbright Half Marathon, Buckland Burn Up and Juniors Fun Run take place on Saturday 23rd May 2026.

The start and finish lines are in Hope-Dunbar Public Park and we will have a bottle stall to raise funds for the pool.

Bottles (unopened and in date) for the stall will be gratefully received at the pool.

Cash donations can be left at the pool, the Friends of Kirkcudbright Swimming Pool shop or on our GoFundMe page

Friends of Kirkcudbright Swimming Pool

We’re looking for a motivated, independent go-getter to help secure the future of this much loved and valued community pool.

1 year contract (possible extension to 2 years)

Aims:

  • To generate vital income streams
  • To research and prepare grant applications for capital projects

If you’re proactive, organised and passionate about supporting local assets we’d love to hear from you. Fundraising experience desirable.

Remuneration and hours to be discussed at the interview.
