The hoist and chair have a safe working load of 135kg / 21 stones.
Early opening on Wednesdays
Early opening from next Wednesday, 5th November.
We have listened, and will be trialling an early opening for all you early risers looking to exercise before work!
We are opening at 6am on Wednesday mornings.
This will carry on until we close for Christmas, and resume in the new year.
Coffee Morning on Monday 4th August
We’re honoured to be supported by this year’s Arts & Crafts Trail. We’re holding a Coffee Morning on Monday 4th August from 10am to 12 noon.
Plantroom Maintenance
We regret having had to close the pool at short notice over recent weeks.
There is maintenance work ongoing to upgrade our pool plant system and occasionally we are experiencing some ‘teething’ problems.
We would ask for your patience as we continue with the upgrade; we are trying to keep disruption to a minimum and aplogise for any inconvenience caused.
Annual Price Review
As part of our Price Review we have introduced new Membership Options.
Our new Flexi Mini Card replaces the membership card and provides the same benefits – unlimited use of the pool and gym when open for public sessions and Loyalty Card prices for other sessions.
Our new Flexi Maxi Card provides the same benefits as the Flexi Mini Card and Aquacise, Hydrohex and Exercise Classes.
Our new Gym Card unlimited use of the gym when open for public sessions.
Despite rising costs we have tried to keep any rises to a minimum and most prices are unchanged.
Half-Marathon Bottle Stall
The Kirkcudbright Half Marathon and Buckland Burn-Up will be held on Saturday 24th May.
We will be holding another bottle stall. Last year we had a lot of children wanting to have a go, but a lot of our prizes are alcoholic, great for the parents! Not so much for the children!
So this year alongside our bottle stall, we will also have a children’s tombola as well.
Any donations for either will be greatly appreciated.
These can be handed in to the pool or the pool charity shop or straight to Ailsa at home if needed.
All money raised from this goes straight to the pool for new equipment.
Motorhome Aire waste disposal facility closed till further notice
The Motorhome Aire reopened at 5pm on Thursday 3rd April 2025 but we regret that we have NO waste disposal services. Alternative arrangements have been – details available at the pool reception. Apologies for any inconvenience.
Till our waste disposal facility reopens we have amended our prices as follows:-
Park overnight and refill fresh water tank £15.00 £12.00.
Refill fresh water tank £10.00 £5.00.
HydroHike – exercise by walking in the pool
We have a new pool session on Wednesday afternoons from 2.30pm to 3.15pm – HydroHike.
This session is for anybody who wants exercise by walking in the pool.
There are many benefits from walking in water. It improves flexibility and agility, strengthens muscles, and is a great cardiovascular workout. The buoyancy of the water supports a portion of your body weight making it easier to move in the water, but it also provides resistance to movements, which helps to strengthen muscles.
